Today's Beatable Favorite(s): None

Please visit the Old Friends at Cabin Creek website ( https://oldfriendsatcabincreek.com ) and consider helping out, as every little bit counts! I want to thank those that read my column, and have recently opened up accounts as a result of their fondness for what they see here. If you have any questions at any time, you can reach me on Twitter @brooklyncowboy1.

I'd like to leave this bit of info here for y'all. When we're using the DRF Formulator platform while writing our columns, if we say "Sprints", for the most part we mean any one turn race, and when we say "Routes", we mean any TWO turn race. ( For example, we consider a 1 1/8th mile race at Belmont an elongated sprint, and a 6 1/2 furlong race at a Charles Town a route. ) We feel this way, because in our eyes, it's the number of turns that necessitate more energy than being relaxed on a straightaway. Sometimes the sample size for our study can be too large to manually break down, so there may be a few from one category in another, but usually the end result is pretty much the same. Additionally, when it comes to layoffs, we consider more than 50 days in a dirt to dirt scenario a layoff, more than 58 days in D to T or T to D a layoff, and more than 67 days in a turf to turf deal a L/O. Furthermore, if we amend our selections for a wet track, and the track becomes fast, our original selections are in play. Additionally, we will be rounding up/down the new "penny breakage" in our stats accordingly, as we do all our numbers by hand, and do we really need to add to our voluminous workload ! Note that we currently have had TWENTY profitable meets thus far !!

Race 1 1st -Neon Bordeaux 2nd - Fever Night 3rd -Cocktailsnkringle

#2 NEON BORDEAUX hasn't been seen since late April, but got up in time by just a honker in his lone start off a sabbatical, and did such right here at today's distance of ground. That was the last time he was made available for purchase, like today, and as the jockey/trainer combination have a positive ROI in tandem, we will lean this way. #3 FEVER NIGHT hasn't been in action since mid July, but finds himself at depths yet seen, and this tandem fare better together Than apart. #5 COCKTAILSNKRINGLE would be no surprise off the maiden breaker on the 1st of September.  THE #4 IS OUR 3RD CHOICE.

Race 2 1st -Nano Man 2nd -King Puck 3rd -Stormy Birthday

#7 NANO MAN showed the best early speed of his career last out, when falling short by only a neck in what we considered to be a tougher spot last out, and barn enlists the services of a rider that they've had excellent success with, today. Can't fault today's outside draw off the most recent. #1 KING PUCK completed the exacta directly in front of a next out victor in his only start off a sabbatical, and did such beneath today's pilot while breaking from the inside. Totally logical. #5 STORMY BIRTHDAY had his only win at the strip and at this locale, & can land a share.

Race 3 1st -Ob La Di Ob LA Da

2nd -Army Proud

3rd -Dominican Thunder

#1 OB LA DI OB LA DA showed excellent early zip when beginning his working life down at the shore on 9/13, and did such despite being a bit tardy to the party that afternoon. He may have outran his pedigree that afternoon, but is facing no world beaters today, and gets a jockey was done some good work for this clan. Mild choice in a race with no first draft eliminations. #6 ARMY PROUD has hit the board in every other start to date, and while that doesn't sound spectacular, it could be enough to put him in the thick of things versus these. #2 DOMINICAN THUNDER, on the other hand, has yet to finish ITM, but is battle tested against tougher, and gets a big time upgrade in the saddle

Race 4 1st -Ennis Town 2nd -English Castle 3rd -Jurisprudence

#2 ENNIS TOWN had a rough trip on closing day in Saratoga, but still picked up 20% of the pot when facing winners for the first time, and that's not an easy thing to accomplish. Obvious factor in a near identical spot. #1 ENGLISH CASTLE finished directly behind the above in the aforementioned affair, and gets a 10 post swing from that one, as he slides in to the rail today. Big shot. #4 JURISPURDENCE is available for less than a quarter of the auction price, and jock does better for this barn than all others. Sensible, but will take some pounding at the windows.

Race 5 1st - Pazz the Soy Sauce  2nd - Orie 3rd -Hello Newman

#4 PAZZ THE SOY SAUCE has been a completely different animal since returning off of more than a half a calendar hibernation, and switching to the green, as she's hit the superfacta in both starts, essentially doubling the speed figures earned last year. No lock, but a must include. #2 ORIE by no means disgraced himself when going on the brown stuff in an off the turf deal, and can obviously fare better should today's race stay on the gramma. #3 HELLO NEWMAN fail to deliver the mail when finishing in the back half of the pack at the end of August, but fell short by only a noggin the only time he went one turn on the verde, and in a bit of a wild anomaly, totes his eighth different pilot from nine starts to date. Can't dismiss.

Race 6 1st -Bear Claw Necklace 2nd -Trust Issues 3rd -Three B's

#2 BEAR CLAW NECKLACE has yet to finish out of the super, and who are we to rock that boat? Fella makes his third start off the bench this afternoon, and gets a jockey who's done sensational work for this outfit. Recognize the recent bullet breeze, as well. #6 TRUST ISSUES is a prodigious check earner, but has burned a ton of baccala since last November, and seems like a sensible unders candidate, to us. Cross entered yesterday, so check the scratch board. #1 THREE B'S ( also spotted on Thursday ) has an unblemished two for two mark at today's distance of ground, and that's enough reason to leave in the mix.

Race 7 1st -Authenticate Now 2nd -Lotus Petal 3rd -Temple City Taboo

#6 AUTHENTICATE NOW has really turned the corner since early April, as this miss has outran ( Or is it outrun? ) her offering in every start since. We have a feeling she's going to be overlooked once again, and there is an upgrade in the irons this afternoon, as well. #2 LOTUS PETAL enters this off a career best effort, and is logical once again. #8 TEMPLE CITY TABOO hasn't been seen since completing the triple in a race where the claim was voided, and while we can't blame you for including, it would behoove you to take a gander during the warmups off of that.

Race 8 1st -Bramble Blast 2nd -Delightful Darling 3rd - Channelview

#9 BRAMBLE BLAST has one of the two best collection of speed figures in this allotment, and cuts back to what we feel will be her preferred distance down the road. Fourth different pilot in as many calls to post has had himself quite a good year, and this one has a big shot if able to get back to the lone dash at this level. #4 DELIGHTFUL DARLING adds blinkers after a showing directly behind two next out victresses, and should be no worse than second for all of you place punters out there.  #11 CHANNELVIEW has a whopping 404 Tommy for today's distance of ground, and went for 5x the stud fee had auction back in March. Leaving beneath because of the chilly pilot.

As a character on Esquire's reality show "Horseplayers" and throughout the National Handicappers Tour where ranked third nationally in 2013, Kevin is known as a "numbers cruncher". He combines his own interpretation of standard Beyer speed figures, with a desire for seeking hidden form and generous odds in his selections. From April 29th, 2016 to March 31st, 2017 over a span of 1,920 consecutive races Kevin amazingly showed a flat bet profit! Kevin's daily analysis has shown a positive ROI for seventeen meets!
