Just three chalky winners on top Sunday, but we got home five rolling doubles of $4, $8, $12, $36 & $82, as well as four rolling Pick 3's of $11, $33, $92 & $292.

As we've done on New Year's Eve's & St. Patrick's Day's in the past, we will encourage safe driving this Sunday, by making up to a $10 donation to Old Friends at Cabin Creek for anyone who sends us a photo of a cab/Uber receipt from 4PM to 4AM on Sunday in that person's name. We want y'all to have fun AND be safe AND do it all while helping our retired equines !

AMAZING news for us here. If you loved the annual homage I write about my father every year for SaratogaBets , you'll be happy to know that I was asked to do a reading for "Our American Stories" (1.7 million weekly listeners), and guess what -- here it is !

I'd like to leave this bit of info here for y'all. When we're using the DRF Formulator platform while writing our columns, if we say "Sprints", for the most part we mean any one turn race, and when we say "Routes", we mean any TWO turn race. ( For example, we consider a 1 1/8th mile race at Belmont an elongated sprint, and a 6 1/2 furlong race at a Charles Town a route. ) We feel this way, because in our eyes, it's the number of turns that necessitate more energy than being relaxed on a straightaway. Sometimes the sample size for our study can be too large to manually break down, so there may be a few from one category in another, but usually the end result is pretty much the same!

Today's Beatable Favorite(s): Race 7 - #6 Loverboy Lou

I want to thank those that read my column, and have recently opened up accounts as a result of their fondness for what they see here. If you have any questions at any time, you can reach me here on Disqus, or on Twitter @brooklyncowboy1. For those who dig the scene here, and would like to be part of it, registration on our home page is easy, and if you'd like, feel free to include my name in the referral box, and let me know, so I can try and get ya' some cool swag!

Aqueduct - 3/15

Race  1

1.Causin' Trouble

2.Got the Gist

3.Wanna Be Regal

#3 CAUSIN' TROUBLE rallied nicely to close out the exacta behind a next out winner in the most recent, and sheds 32 ounces off that effort. We're diggin' Duggan with maiden claiming dashers ( 140 days or less ) who crashed the fiesta in last, as the 12% conditioner ( and good guy ) is 4 for 8 with that type ( $4, $5, $6 & $30 ). Would like to see the newest "hot" apprentice have this one a bit closer to the place early on in the game, as there ain't much signed on, so why leave yourself with too much to do? #4 GOT THE GIST has done her best work for this barn, and trainer is having a "Gargan-tuan" run of late ( 9 fer 21 ). Familiar pilot comes back, as well. #5 WANNA BE REGAL is a logical inclusion.

Race  2

1.Repole Entry

2.Crackspeed ( Arg )

3.Here comes Tommy

We don't have the best of reads for the second half of the traditional Daily Double, so tread lightly... Both halves of the Repole entry -- #1 STORM PROPHET & #1A BLEWITT seem pretty solid in this spot. The former has done his best work right here ( 8:2-3-1 ) and has completed the exacta in all three starts off a break, and the latter has ONLY raced here throughout his brief career, and has done well doing so. #4 CRACKSPEED (ARG) was graded stakes place back in his home country, and has been shipped up from Payson park for today's North American bow. Lasix is in play here, and this one is 3:1-1-0 off a L/O. Obvious factor. #2 HERE COMES TOMMY will go over the $400,000 mark today, and has done so by grinding out small checks ( 59:3-14-13 ) and may be able to do so once again.

Race  3

1.Overtime Olivia

3.Anne's Song

#6 OVERTIME OLIVIA has been switched over to the Arriaga barn, and that's of some relevance, as said bossman is a poyfect 3 for 3 when spotting a new runner in a dash ( $9, $8 & $3 ). Our boy, Double D returns today, and he guided this one to two ITM finishes in her first three starts. #3 AWILLAWAY has a decent overall body of work and switches from an apprentice to the best rider in NY this afternoon. Totally playable. #1 ANNE'S SONG is slowly approaching professional maiden status, given the 11 superfecta finishes in 14 career starts, and we'd be remiss in excluding.

Race  4

#6 ALVERNIA showed absolutely zilch in the most recent, but in all fairness, had an awkward onset and was a bit rank down the backside. The first two starts weren't half bad, and with maidens we always hearken back to anything positive in the running lines ( especially to get a price ). Slim margin. #5 KEEPMYEYEONTHEBOYS was a well beaten but well clear second ( at big odds ) in a strung out field at Philadelphia Park on February 4th, and also closed out the exacta the last time he went one turn. Note that the blinkers were added in the most recent, and although runners can sometimes regress off a positive equipment/medication change, we'll chunk beneath as the mutuel offering may still be honest enough. #8 ALPHADORA improved vastly from the first start to the next, and did so when displaying a tidy "Z" pattern. We like when trainers aren't scared to make a change after a strong effort, and the eye cups are now affixed.

Race  5

1.Amanda Lane

#8 AMANDA LANE hasn't been seen since All Hallows Eve, but gal lost by a neck in her only try off the shelf, and new shotcaller ( 14% day to day ) is a tidy 3 for 8 when being handed a runner and spotting them in a dirt dash at 20-1 or less ( $7, $18 & $9 ). This one is a bit of a nibblah, but recognize the 5:1-2-2 mark when breaking from the outermost two slots ( the lone OTB finish was a neck defeat ). #2 EMBLAZONER has been beset by layoff lines after each start, but the lone tally came right here and Franco sees fit to get legged up. #5 ZECHA has partaken in the super in all 11 dirt tries, but take a look in the paddock, as front wraps were added for the last.

Race  6

1.Lone Pioneer

2.Lucid Dream

#7 LONE PIONEER was a gamely runner up when displaying a baby "Z" pattern in the last ( lost 2 1/4 lengths from the quarter to the half before gaining 7 1/2 from that point to the line ), and "Super Trainer" who took over for Diodoro not that long ago, is 22:11-7-0 since. ( What? No thirds? ) Barn also has a 4 for 6 stat w/ maiden claimers on the sand who were ITM when last seen ( $3.76 ), and I suppose you have to put this outfit on all your tickets until further notice, no? #2 LUCID DREAM goes from a 3% trainer to a 21% clan after the purchase, and Rice is a nice 8:3-2-0 with freshly purchased runners of this ilk. #4 INCLUNATION has been a part of the triple in three straight, and we have an inclination that'll occur again.  NOTE: AS OF 12:28, DUE TO A LATE SCRATCH THE #5 WILL BE OUR 3RD SELECTION.

Race  7

2.Street Prayer

3.Running Violence

#1 CLENCH has been a different animal since being dropped down into the claiming ranks and getting some confidence, as he's been a part of the tri in all four since. 27% Servis bats 41% ( 9-22 ) w/optional dirt stock who were 1-2-3 34 to 50 days back, and Junior ( who's been rising in excellent form these days ) climbs on. #7 STREET PRAYER is a $3,000 bred runner who won at first asking for half'a C-Note, and is now understandably claim protected. There have been back to back bullets since, and the place horse from that day came back to win next out. #3 RUNNING VIOLENCE has already proven to be a fortuitous claim by Charlie, as he plunked down 30 large for this ridgling, and was positively giddy when he lost by just a noggin that afternoon? Why? Because he was able to procure just that amount with a win in the maiden special weight ranks next out. The second place finisher returned to get his photo taken, and this one is live once again.  BEATABLE FAVORITE: #6 LOVERBOY LOU fills teh bill, as Cox is oh-fer-13 with maiden winners off a claim.

Race  8

1.Englehart Entry

2.Local Counsel

3.Blugrascat's Smile

Watching "The Cincinnati Kid" whilst typing away tonight on the recommendation of a reader, and I want to say thank you very much -- Great flick !!   #1 BROADWAY BAY & #1A PLAYTHATFUNNYMUSIC both comprise honest enough halves of the Jeff Englehart entry. B.B. takes the obligatory hike up after besting A1X competitors, is 2 for 4 in Ozone Park, and owns a win and a placing from as many "true" 2nd off the shelf forays, while 'Music is 4:2-0-1 off a hiatus, and the score came in his only go round ( oddly enough ) when starting from the outside. #4 LOCAL COUNSEL split the tri in the lone 2X to 1X spin & both wins came at the Big A. #5 BLUGRASCAT'S  SMILE rounds out the top three.

Race  9

1.Old Upstart

2.Go Big Or Go Home

Most competitive race we've seen here in quite a while...  #2 OLD UPSTART bested cheaper here a half a month ago, but don't let the hike dissuade you, as Barker is 6:3-2-0 when jacking up those who won their last by 50% or more ( 9-1 or < ). The winners returned $13, $9 & $4, and this one owns a scintillating 13:5-2-0 local ledger. #5 GO BIG OR GO HOME is another who digs the local seagulls, and Gullo doubles his normative 17% avg. with Aqueduct mid level dirt stock off absences of 51-73 days ( 10-1 or beneath ). The winners paid $9, $4, $10 & $9, and gelding finds himself at his lowest level to date. #4 DANCETRACK may grind out a slice.
